Inferential Control Technology |
| |
|
Based on first principle, Dr. Y. Zak Friedman of Petrocontrol,
developed a number of inferential control models, which have been widely
implemented. |
|
| |
(Generalized Cutpoint Control): A multi-product
fractionator inferential package, suitable for crude units, vacuum,
FCC, cokers, visbreakers and other main fractionators with side streams.
This package has the advantage of quick and precise response to major
disturbances such as crude switch, coker drum switch, etc.

| |
| |
| |
|
| |
(Generalized Distillation Shortcut):
An inference model for predicting distillation top and bottom product
purities. It has been implemented on a wide variety of distillation
equipment, from simple light-ends columns (debutanizers, depropanizers,
naphtha splitters, etc.) to superfractionators (BTX columns, deisobutanizers,
ethylene splitters, etc). |
|
| |
| |
| |
|
| |
(Gasoline Reformer Severity): An inferential
model package, predicting both the feed PNA (paraffins, naphthenes,
olefins), and the product qualities: reformate octane, % aromatics,
RVP, etc. |
|
| |
| |
|
| |
(FCC reactor / regernerator Severity):
Our FCC model begins with general calculations around the reactor. These
inferences can be used as APC control variables or simply as engineering
indicators. |
