Dr. Friedman has published numerous scientific papers, covering APC technology with an emphasis on inferential modeling. The papers, given at the NPRA Computer Conference, ERTC computer conference and Hydrocarbon Processing Journal, among others, address APC applications in units such as crude units, cokers, FCCs, alkylation, visbreakers, reformers, gas plants, BTX and a large variety of other distillation columns.

Additionally, in his capacity as a contributing editor for Hydrocarbon Processing Journal, Dr. Friedman has written editorial columns about the state of APC in the industry.
